Diagnostic Fault Information

Circuit/System Description

The engine control module (ECM) supplies voltage to each fuel injector on the injector high voltage supply circuits. The ECM energizes each fuel

injector by grounding the high voltage control circuit of the fuel injector. The ECM monitors the status of the injector high voltage supply circuits

and the fuel injector high voltage control circuits. When a fuel injector circuit condition is detected by the ECM, the affected fuel injector(s) is

disabled.

Conditions for Running the DTC

2010 Cadillac Truck SRX AWD V6-3.0L Page 1701

The shift control solenoid assembly (SLC1, SLC2, SLC3, SLB1) and the line pressure control solenoid (SLT) are installed on the front valve body.

The solenoids linearly control hydraulic pressure in response to signals output from the transmission control module (TCM). SLC1, SLC2, SLC3,

SLB1 controls hydraulic pressure to the clutches (C1, C2, C3) and brake (B1) for smooth shifting. According to each shift control solenoid

assembly, the transmission shifts from 1st gear to 6th gear and vice versa. As a fail-safe function, if any shift control solenoid assembly abnormality

occurs, the TCM will disable the current to the solenoids.

Conditions for Running the DTC

* The ignition voltage is 10.2-15.5 V.

* The engine speed is greater than 400 RPM for 2 s.

* The transmission is not in emergency mode.

* TCM communication is normal.

* Transmission fluid temperature is higher than 20掳C (68掳F).

* DTCs P0716, P0717, P0721 and P0722 are not set.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

* Driving in D range, 2nd gear.

* Output speed more than 500 RPM.

* Throttle position more than 10%.

* Measured gear ratio deviates more than 20% from expected ratio.

* Measured gear ratio deviates within 4% from 1st, 3rd, 4th or 6th gear ratio.

* Determined after 12 times lasting 1 s or more.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

* DTC P0732 is a Type C DTC.

* Torque limitation in "D" range 150 Nm (110 lb ft), in "R" range 170 Nm (125 lb ft).

* The TCM freezes transmission adaptive functions.

* The TCM turns OFF all solenoids.

* The TCM allows the vehicle after a stop to operate only in the second gear and "R" range.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

* DTC P0732 is a Type C DTC.

* Measured gear ratio deviates less than 4% from expected ratio.

Diagnostic Aids

When attempting to set transmission performance DTCs, observe the Freeze Frame/Failure Records to assist in duplicating the inoperative or

affected conditions. Ensure the transmission fluid level, color and odor is correct and there are no leaks. If there are any other transmission DTCs

set, diagnose those first.

2021 Venue

2021 Venue The 2021 Hyundai Venue is a subcompact crossover that has surprising interior space and desirable features at an affordable price. The little Hyundai's small size and agile handling make it perfect for zipping around urban areas. However, its underpowered engine and restless highway behavior make it feel slow and clumsy on Interstates. It gets noisy at highway speeds too. Every model has automated emergency braking and lane-departure warning as well as an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Despite its budget-friendly pricing, Hyundai outfits the tiny ute with an attractive interior that looks and feels more upscale than competitors such as the Nissan Kicks and Toyota C-HR. All the aforementioned positives make the 2021 Venue a perfect choice for urbanites who aren't planning on using it for long highway trips.

Is It Easy To Buy A New Forester? Subaru Scores High In The Buying Process

Text
New 2021 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and Ascent SUV customers first shop online before they ever visit a Subaru showroom. How easy is it to research a new Subaru online? According to a new report from Pied Piper, Subaru of America is better than the industry average and is the number seven automaker out of twenty-one brands.
The 2021 Pied Piper Omnichannel prospect satisfaction index for Electronic Vehicles (EVs) Auto Industry Study measures each car brand’s customer path, starting with their online search, dealer website, and in-person dealership visit.
The report says, “How customers shop completely changed in the late 2000s with widespread acceptance and use of smartphones. For example, in 2007, the year the iPhone was introduced, online retailer Amazon made $15 billion in sales. Last year, Amazon’s revenues exceeded $300 billion.”
For 21 different auto brands, Pied Piper measured whether their customer’s omnichannel path was intuitive, simple to use, and easy to navigate, as well as effective at showcasing products and making them easy to purchase.

Subaru of America scored well as its retailers understand their customers need to start with online research before they ever visit the showroom. In an earlier Pied Piper study in March, Subaru was one of the car brands with the most significant improvement from 2020 to 2021.
Subaru ranked nine out of 33 auto brands in the 2019 Pied Piper PSI Internet Lead Effectiveness Benchmarking Study. In 2020, Subaru moved up five spots to the number four best automaker in responding to your online questions.
Shoppers looking for a 2021 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, or another model should find the dealer website easy to use, and more importantly, your local retailer will be quick to respond to your inquiries. Subaru now ranks number two overall in responsiveness.
Subaru Report via Torque News is one website where Subaru customers can begin their research and find the latest reports on the new Forester compact SUV, Outback midsize SUV, Crosstrek subcompact SUV, and Ascent 3-Row SUV.
Prospective customers can check out the latest new car reviews, new model features, safety technology, and pricing from an unbiased source. Check back daily for 2021 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, Ascent, and other model news and reviews.

A new class of fuel called TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline is appearing at retail stations of some fuel marketers. This gasoline meets detergency

standards developed by six automotive companies. All vehicles will benefit from using TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline over gasoline containing the

"Lowest Additive Concentration" set by the EPA. Those vehicles that have experienced deposit related concerns may especially benefit from the

use of TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline.

What is TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline?

TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline is a new class of gasoline with enhanced detergency. It meets new, voluntary deposit control standards developed by

six automotive companies that exceed the detergent requirements imposed by the EPA.

Where Can TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline Be Purchased?

The TOP TIER program began on May 3, 2004 and many fuel marketers have joined the program and have introduced TOP TIER Detergent

Gasoline. This is a voluntary program and not all fuel marketers will offer this product. Once fuel marketers make public announcements, they will

appear on a list of brands that meet the TOP TIER standards.

Where Can I find the Latest Information on TOP TIER Fuel and Retailers?

On the web, please visit www.toptiergas.com for additional information and updated retailer lists.

Who developed TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline standards?

TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline standards were developed by six automotive companies: Audi, BMW, General Motors, Honda, Toyota and

Volkswagen.

Why was TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline developed?

TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline was developed to increase the level of detergent additive in gasoline. The EPA requires that all gasoline sold in the

U.S. contain a detergent additive. However, the requirement is minimal and in many cases, is not sufficient to keep engines clean. In order to meet

TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline standards, a higher level of detergent is needed than what is required by the EPA. Also, TOP TIER was developed

to give fuel marketers the opportunity to differentiate their product.

Why did the six automotive companies join together to develop TOP TIER?

All six corporations recognized the benefits to both the vehicle and the consumer. Also, joining together emphasized that low detergency is an issue

of concern to several automotive companies.

What are the benefits of TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline?

TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline will help keep engines cleaner than gasoline containing the "Lowest Additive Concentration" set by the EPA. Clean

engines help provide optimal fuel economy and performance and reduced emissions. Also, use of TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline will help reduce

deposit related concerns.

Circuit/System Description

The heated seat temperature sensor that set this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is located in the seat cushion just under the seat cover with the seat

heating element. The seat heating control module supplies a 5 V reference voltage through the temperature sensor signal circuit and a ground

through the low reference circuit to the sensor. The module monitors the voltage of the sensor signal circuit to determine the temperature of the

seat. The temperature sensor varies in resistance based on the temperature of the heating element causing the signal voltage to change. Once the seat

reaches the set temperature, the module will then cycle the control circuit of the heating elements ON and OFF in order to maintain the desired seat

temperature based on the feedback voltage from the sensor.

Conditions for Running the DTC

* DTC B1325 must not be present.

* The seat heating control module must be powered.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

B1925 02 or B2170 02

The temperature sensor voltage drops below 0.6 V for more than 1 second.

B1925 05 or B2170 05

The temperature sensor voltage is greater than 5 V for more than 1 second.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The heated seat function for the affected seat will be disabled.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

* The current DTC will clear and set the code to history 3 seconds after the reference voltage returns to normal operating range and the ignition

is cycled OFF then back to ACC or RUN.

* The history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive fault-free ignition cycles have occurred.

Circuit/System Description

The body control module (BCM) supplies a reference voltage to the backlight dimmer switch, which is part of the headlamp switch. When the

backlight dimmer switch is placed in a desired brightness position, reference voltage is applied through the backlight dimmer switch rheostat to the

BCM. The BCM interprets this voltage signal, then applies a pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage to the LED dimming supply circuit to all

related interior lamps, illuminating them to the desired level of brightness.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The ignition is ON. Parklamps are illuminated.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The BCM detects the instrument panel dimmer switch is ON for greater than 60 seconds.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The BCM will not dim or illuminate any LED backlighting supplied by the backlight lamp control circuits.

2020 Venue

2020 Venue The 2020 Hyundai Venue is the company's newest little crossover, and it boasts distinctive styling and a budget-friendly price tag. With a boxy shape and diminutive proportions, it makes urban exploration easy and fun. Its four-cylinder powertrain isn't quick, and only front-wheel drive is offered, but the Venue is peppy at low speeds and the engine never sounds too coarse. The pleasant cabin is also roomy and bolstered by truly useful cargo space for this segment. The top-tier Denim model is by far the fanciest thanks to its exclusive white-painted roof and unique leatherette upholstery. While the little Hyundai exhibits busy behavior on the highway, the 2020 Venue is otherwise one of the best subcompact SUVs on the market.

Your Guide to Backup Cameras: Toyota Prius

Your Guide to Backup Cameras: Toyota Prius
A backup camera can increase the safety of your Toyota Prius. Whether you use it to safely reverse into tight parking spots, or you use it to guide you out of busy parking spots, a backup camera can be a valuable addition to your vehicle. Many newer vehicles today are equipped with a backup camera, but even if yours doesn't have one, you may be able to install one. A backup camera can also help with insurance rates.
Beginning May 2018, the U.S. Department of Transportation requires backup cameras to be installed in all vehicles that weigh 10000 pounds or more. The NHTSA requires all newer vehicles to have backup cameras.
A backup camera is a camera that offers a live feed of the area behind your Toyota Prius. Most vehicles, regardless of their size, have blind spots which can make it difficult for the driver to reverse. A backup camera offers the following:
Backup cameras are valuable, whether you choose one with a live feed into your driver infotainment screen or with a built-in monitor. Built-in monitors usually offer the top insurance rates but any safety improvement to your Toyota Prius is good.
There are four main types of backup cameras to consider:
A camera-only system is a backup camera without a monitor. It is a good option if your vehicle already has a driver screen. Camera-only systems are usually waterproof and come with a built-in transmitter. They are available with different features, including parking gridlines and HD vision. Depending on the type of camera, it may require placing wires for installation.
An all-in-one system comes with both the camera and the monitor. It is what you need if your Toyota Prius doesn't have a monitor already. Some all-in-one systems require installation by connecting wiring to a power source in your vehicle. Other systems are wireless for easier installation and are powered and charged using solar energy.
Individual cameras are just the camera without the wires or monitor. It may be the right product if you prefer to buy your camera parts separately, or if you need to replace parts on your current system.
Mirror displays are backup camera systems that display the live feed on the rearview mirror. It is a good option if you don't have a screen and don't want to mess with your vehicle's wiring.
There are a few things to consider when choosing the right backup camera for your Prius. For one, you want to choose a camera that is specifically designed for your year and trim level of Toyota Prius. This will make it easier to install and can reduce exterior damages. You will also want to consider whether you want a wired or wireless camera.
Camera systems also come in different video qualities. Basic camera systems may have low resolution and lack color. Higher-level backup camera systems may come with color views, as well as high resolution. Backup cameras can also come with many different features, like:
Consider the features you need when choosing the right backup camera for you. There are also certain features that you want, regardless, including waterproofing. This will help your backup camera last.
Disclaimer: The guidelines in this story are general and not meant to replace instructions for your specific vehicle. Please consult your owner’s manual or repair guide before attempting repairs.
The type of backup camera that you choose will determine how easy or difficult installation is. You can install a backup camera with the following steps:
The installation process will vary depending on the type of camera and wiring. More in-depth installations may require professional installation. Wireless installations are usually easier and don't require that you drill any holes or place any wiring. Wireless backup cameras can also be easier to remove or replace if you decide to upgrade your camera.
You can buy a backup camera for your Toyota Prius in the following places:
