"Did your mechanic replace the carbon cabin filters?

"Did your mechanic replace the carbon cabin filters? There are four cabin filters total.  The 3M headlight restoration kit (39008) works well. You will need to seal the headlights afterward to extend the clarity life. I bought this, but haven't tried it yet. Waiting for some nice sunny warm weather to apply.          Robot or human?       I know you want to keep the stock look. Did you replace your wiper blade with the OEM 25"" one? Hardly anyone buy those any more. If you do, they're most likely old stock and the rubber will be hard, squeaky and streaky out of the box. Ask me how I know. I use 24"" Rain-X Silicone Endura on all three of my W210s. You will have to give them a firm pull to seat them on the J-hook before you can flip the cover over.  Did you remove the hood air intake grill for the cabin? All three of mine were full of leaf debris when I bought the cars.  Did you replace the idler pulley when you did the tensioner & belt?"
Ordered the last part in the world for my W210, from a dealer across the country in Rhode Island. The Mercedes dealer-parts software is pretty amazing, for those who know how to use it.  It goes first to their own inventory, then to the nearest of 4-5 warehouses in the US, (fanning out to all of them), then to Germany, then to various other dealers. That's how we found it.  210-684-02-181-A26    Funny thing. I knew that idler pully was prone to going out - even stranded someone with his E55 - so I bought one and put it in the trunk.   A few years later I hear what is unmistakably a bearing just starting to go out - take it to my shop friend who traced it to the idler pulley, and he replaced it.   Still have mine in the trunk    I'll bet most shops - dealers included - forgot those cabin filters. Who'd think of pulling out the glove box?
