Typical Scan Tool Data

Circuit/System Description

The heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) are used for fuel control and catalyst monitoring. Each HO2S compares the oxygen content of the surrounding

air with the oxygen content of the exhaust stream. When the engine is started, the control module operates in an Open Loop mode, ignoring the

HO2S signal voltage while calculating the air-to-fuel ratio. While the engine runs, the HO2S heats up and begins to generate a voltage within a

range of 0-1,275 mV. Once sufficient HO2S voltage fluctuation is observed by the control module, Closed Loop is entered. The control module

uses the HO2S voltage to determine the air-to-fuel ratio. An HO2S voltage that increases toward 1,000 mV indicates a rich fuel mixture. An HO2S

voltage that decreases toward 0 mV indicates a lean fuel mixture.

The heating elements inside each HO2S heat the sensor to bring the sensor up to operating conditions faster. This allows the system to enter Closed

Loop earlier and the control module to calculate the air-to-fuel ratio sooner.

Subject:

Information on Sulfur Odor from Exhaust

Models:

2007-2010 GM Passenger Cars and Light Duty Trucks (Including Saturn)

2007-2010 HUMMER H2, H3

2007-2010 Saab 9-7X

with Gasoline-Powered Engines

Important:

This bulletin is not applicable to vehicles operating in Canada on Canadian sourced fuels. Canadian regulations limit the amount of sulfur in

gasoline to 80 PPM or less for all gasoline marketed in Canada with no exemptions.

Federal regulations limit the amount of sulfur in gasoline to 80 PPM (some states have lower limits; for example, California's limit is 30

PPM). The federal exception to this rule is an allowance for qualifying small refineries that permits up to 450 PPM until January 1, 2011. Sulfur

odor in exhaust from vehicles equipped with gasoline engines is caused by excess sulfur in the gasoline and it cannot be eliminated unless the

source of the sulfur is eliminated.

Important:

Replacement of catalytic converters for this condition is not an appropriate repair and will not correct the condition by itself.

Customers with vehicles that exhibit this condition should be advised of the information in this bulletin and be asked to switch the brand of gasoline

that they are using. In most cases, this will result in elimination of the sulfur odor by the time one tank full of gasoline is consumed if the gasoline

that was added is within the 80 PPM federal limit.

In order for the odor to be eliminated. two things must occur. First, the gasoline added to the vehicle must be at or below the federal 80 PPM limit.

Secondly, the vehicle must have run long enough to have consumed one tank of fuel containing a sulfur content of 80 PPM or less.

Although there is no way for a dealership to easily measure the amount of sulfur in gasoline, it's a good practice when asked for a recommended

brand of gasoline to recommend any of the Top Tier Detergent Gasoline Brands. Although Top Tier brands have not demonstrated that they contain

a lower sulfur content than other brands, their detergent additive package makes them a preferred choice when choosing a brand of gasoline for

your vehicle. A complete list of Top Tier Brands can be found in Corporate Bulletin Number 04-06-04-047H (in Canada, refer to Corporate

Bulletin Number 05-06-04-022E) or by accessing the website www.toptiergas.com.

Circuit/System Testing

Note: It is recommended that Component Testing is performed before Circuit/System Testing when diagnosing the actuator because the module

will default and does not supply voltage to the sensor when the DTC is set.

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the M72 Variable Power Steering Solenoid Valve.

2. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the control circuit terminal A and ground.

瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.

3. Ignition OFF, connect the test lamp between the control circuit terminal A and the control circuit terminal B.

4. Ignition ON, verify the test lamp briefly illuminates for approximately 1 second, then turns OFF.

瀚慖f the test lamp is always ON, test the control circuit terminal B for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K17

Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM).

瀚慖f the test lamp is always OFF, test the control circuit terminal B for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests

normal, replace the K17 Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM).

5. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the M72 Variable Power Steering Solenoid Valve.

Component Testing

Static Test

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the M72 Variable Power Steering Solenoid Valve.

DTC P00C6

- Fuel Rail Pressure Low During Engine Cranking

DTC P228C

- Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Control Performance - Low Pressure

DTC P228D

- Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Control Performance - High Pressure

Circuit/System Description

The fuel rail pressure sensor detects fuel pressure within the fuel rail. The engine control module (ECM) provides a 5 V reference voltage on the 5

V reference circuit and ground on the low reference circuit. The ECM receives a varying signal voltage on the signal circuit.

High pressure fuel is regulated by the high pressure fuel pump actuator, which is a part of the high pressure fuel pump. The high pressure fuel pump

actuator is a solenoid valve. The ECM provides a voltage on the actuator high control circuit and ground on the actuator low control circuit. Both

circuits are controlled through output drivers within the ECM. When deactivated, both drivers are disabled. When activated, the high control circuit

driver energizes the high pressure fuel pump actuator and the low control circuit driver pulse-width modulates (PWM) the low control circuit to

ground.

The high pressure mechanical fuel pump is driven by three lobes on the camshaft. The ECM uses the camshaft and crankshaft position sensor inputs

to synchronize the high pressure fuel pump actuator with the position of each of the camshaft lobes. The ECM regulates fuel pressure by adjusting

the portion of each pump stroke that provides fuel to the rail.

The ECM monitors the fuel rail fuel pressure sensor and the high pressure fuel pump actuator to determine if the commanded and actual pressure

are within a predetermined range, or if the amount of fuel pressure correction exceeds a calibrated pressure.

Conditions for Running the DTC

P0089, P228C, or P228D

* DTC P0090, P0091, P0092, P0191, P0192, or P0193 is not set.

2022 porsche cayenne coupe gts

Text
There isn’t much of a difference between the S and GTS’s performance. There’s only a 19 horsepower difference. You probably won’t feel the faster 0 to 60 mph time from behind the wheel, but you can bask in the magnificence of that V8 soundtrack. The power is only available from 6,000 rpm, and there’s a soft limiter at 6,800 rpm. You’ll have loads of fun chasing that redline through the ‘box. The GTS comes with its model-specific leather and Race-Tex interior. From the outside, you can tell it apart thanks to standard red brake calipers.

2022 porsche cayenne coupe

Text
The rakish Cayenne stretches the meaning of the word coupe as it represents a radical departure from the Cayman and 911 by featuring a more practical SUV format, complete with rear doors. Perhaps a different name would've been better for the swoopy sports utility vehicle from Zuffenhausen, but with coupe-SUVs being all the rage in the luxury segment, it's a decision that makes sense from a business perspective.
Still a relatively fresh model, the Cayenne Coupe has been around for a little over two years and is about a month away from getting a nip and tuck. We've seen spy shots of a prototype with barely any camouflage, and now the disguise is coming off courtesy of a speculative rendering from our pals at Kolesa.
The redesigned front bumper is home to a pair of LED daytime running lights that double as turn signals, but a more obvious change will be the slightly slimmer main headlights with a more angular design. Modified graphics for the LED taillights are on the menu as well and Porsche could be making changes to the rear bumper design as well, depending on the trim level.
"Speaking of which, the main novelty of the 2022 Cayenne Coupe will be a new high-performance trim. Positioned between the Turbo and range-topping Turbo S E-Hybrid model will be a new 631-horsepower model billed as being the ""sportiest Cayenne to date."" While this rendering depicts a different version, the newcomer will have the center-mounted dual exhaust setup of the GTS Coupe when equipped with the Lightweight Sport Package."
It will be offered strictly as a coupe with 626 pound-feet (850 Newton-meters) on tap and it'll debut alongside the refreshed Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe towards the end of June. Seeing as how Porsche has been constantly updating the two SUVs, there is a pretty good chance the modifications on the inside will be kept down to a minimum. The high-riding models from Stuttgart still feel fresh and therefore won't go through any major changes with the impending mid-cycle update.
What does the distant future have in tow for the Cayenne? With the Macan switching to an all-electric setup for its next generation, its bigger brother is likely heading towards an EV setup as well. As a matter of fact, Porsche first talked about a Cayenne without a combustion engine more than two years ago, so an EV version is likely a question of when rather than if.
