Circuit/System Verification
Ignition ON, observe the function of the child security lockout indicator while pressing and depressing the child lockout switch. The child security
lockout indicator should turn ON and OFF each time the child lockout switch is pressed.
Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the K9 BCM.
2. Ignition ON, verify that the child security lockout indicator is OFF.
瀚慖f the child security lockout indicator is ON, test the control circuit terminal 6 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the
A20 radio/HVAC control.
3. If all circuits test normal, replace the K9 BCM.

- Liftgate Lamp Control Circuit Short to Ground
Diagnostic Fault Information
Circuit/System Description
When the body control module (BCM) receives a liftgate open signal, the BCM supplies B+ to the cargo lamp control circuit. This will illuminate
the cargo lamp.
Conditions for Running the DTC
* Ignition ON.
* The system voltage is between 9-16 V.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The BCM detects a short to ground on the cargo lamp control circuit.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
