Ford Mustang Mach-E - Really? 5 or 6 Teslas on my commute every day. I see 2 in the parking lot right now. Ford just made a pretty big investment in charging infastructure as well. I think most normal people who have 2 gas cars will end up with 1 electric and 1 gas vehicle for a while until the charging infrastructure gets to where it should be. So what's the basis for your statement that current technology is inadequate? My opinion is the vehicle should have a 600 mile range and a 15 minute (or less) recharge; I would also like the cost to be similar to an ICE without any subsidies. I do not think you answered my question about your commute and what you drive. There are a couple of air filters, but those are 2-3 years apart. Rotate the tires is the most frequent maintenance point by far. Now, let's also not overstate the amount of maintenance that ICE cars now require either, which is way lower than it used to be. Being pedantic would mean you'd know they require battery coolant changes. 5 or 6 Teslas on my commute every day.

I see 2 in the parking lot right now. I can assure you the few Tesla's you see running around are just that - a few. It鈥檚 not bad enough that Ford is raping the Mustang name to slap on this new all-electric crossover so it can go to war with Tesla. Nope, it had to go a step further and also disrespect the Mach 1. Bravo, Ford management. Rumors had been leaking for some time that this vehicle was coming, so it鈥檚 not entirely a surprise. Although, certain leaks claimed the crossover would have styling inspired by the Mustang but wouldn鈥檛 use the pony car鈥檚 name. So much for that. Ford could have picked any other name instead of twisting the Mach 1 into Mach-E, but it went there. The name actually rhymes with "mockery" and has to be more than just a coincidence. This sure feels like mockery of a legend, all in the pursuit of the latest market trend.

Ford has sold its birthright for a pot of porridge and that鈥檚 just pathetic. Of course, with the idiotic decisions James Hackett has been making at the helm of Ford, this is just another in a string of bumbles. Hackett obviously has a tenuous grip not only on the automotive market but also the history of the company he supposedly runs. He certainly doesn鈥檛 seem to understand the Mustang and its die-hard fans, because he's really stepped in it this time. As a Ford fan I am glad they are getting into the EV business, but damn use a different name. Sales will be brisk. Dealers imo will have their way with this vehicle. Mustang is a car. 12 years or less, why bother with electric? I can assure you the few Tesla's you see running around are just that - a few. I see Teslas on a daily basis here in Cental Florida.

Charging stations are popping up all over the place. 12 years or less, why bother with electric? I could care less about global warming bs. I drive an Audi SQ5 suv that gets about 16 mpg around town and 22 highway. I enjoy it and dont care about the gas. Mustang is a car. My first car was a 65 Mustang 289. I dont miss it. Its not 1965 anymore. Glad Ford is keeping up. I see Teslas on a daily basis here in Cental Florida. Charging stations are popping up all over the place. 50K average transaction price. I get that you're excited about EVs, they are pretty cool, but just seeing a few on your avg commute doesn't really mean squat. Tesla gives you warm fuzzy feeling up your leg? Dealerships aren't a bad thing, one of the things that holds Tesla back is the lack of support. Tesla is like Apple, all perception. Not sure why another man would ask about my leg or any other body part. Just stop saying stuff like that to other men.
