My Ardit Car

My Ardit Car

Mercedes announced its intention to make a new large 4x4 in 1990 and formulated plans to develop it with Mitsubishi in 1991. However, the collaboration ended the following year and Mercedes decided to go it alone. But it still took until February 1997 to design and develop the W163 M-class and build a factory in which to make it, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The original ML was criticised for poor material quality and refinement, and it wasn鈥檛 until the Mk2 ML in 2005 that most of those criticisms were addressed.Years on, Mercedes鈥?big American gamble is really paying off. Daimler AG鈥檚 Alabama factory is established and producing more than 100,000 cars a year, mainly for one of the world鈥檚 biggest and most important car markets. And the M-class luxury 4x4 - the car for which that Tuscaloosa plant was built - is entering its third model cycle. Promising market-leading quality, safety, refinement and efficiency, the new ML seems almost unrecognisable from the rough and ready original.

The Avantgarde鈥檚 all leather tiller is a much better bet. Again, it鈥檚 not a sports car - Mercedes-Benz has an AMG range if that鈥檚 your bent - so it鈥檚 a much more relaxing drive than some of its Germanic competitors. You鈥檒l always feel refreshed upon emerging, yet it has the urge if you need it. That鈥檚 something that the demographic that it suits has worked out. 180,000 car you鈥檒l have a few women remarking that your choice of vehicle suits them (or words to that effect). But I鈥檝e never had more comments from middle-aged men than while steering the E500. They stare, they point, they come and ask questions. I鈥檓 sure after seeing the car up close, some of them trundled off to their local Merc dealership. Thing is, if they do, there aren鈥檛 too many options to tick. Really, the Mercedes-Benz E500 has everything you鈥檇 ever need. This is a car that will do it all. From being an autobahn cruiser, to a twisty backroad chaser, to a family hauler, the E500 has the power and safety to handle what ever you throw at it. Yes, this E-Class will tackle any task tactfully.

It is no secret the R-Class is a big failure in the United States, the market this car was specifically designed for. 2013 model year, company's PR manager Christian Bokich confirmed recently. Released ahead of its time, the W 251 never managed to revolutionize the automotive industry, partly due to its awkward styling, the unappealing combination between an SUV, an estate and an MPV and the inefficient marketing strategy. Sales were sluggish right from the start and the situation became worse as years passed. The mid-cycle facelift from April 2010 didn't bring any ray of hope in the end, as the number of units sold merely rose in the U.S. On the contrary, in emerging markets such as China, figures for the R-Class experience a constant growth trend. The crossover is also doing well in Canada and Mexico, so production of this model is planned to continue through 2015 at the Tuscaloosa plant, when a new generation is said to come into force.

I just remembered today about a funny video that one of my friends has sent me, showing the romanian billionaire Gheorghe Becali trying to fix his own Maybach. Becali, a romanian soccer team owner as well, it is known for his eccentricity and his love for expensive cars, he owned most of the german cars, from Audi, Mercedes to BMW. He has bought his Maybach less than two years ago by placing a customer order and paying around 500,000 euros. Less than two days after he received his car, due to the car鈥檚 larger than normal size, he managed to scratch it twice while trying to park it near his office. A few weeks after this incident, he is involved in a car accident, and the Maybach is seriously damaged. Instead of waiting for a towing truck to bring his car to a Mercedes dealership, he decides to 鈥渇ix鈥?the car himself. Watch the video and you will see what I鈥檓 talking about. P.S. I know this has been posted before, but I thought some of my readers might have not seen the story before.

With this car, you are getting everything that a Mercedes is for an extremely reasonable price. With this car, you are getting everything that a Mercedes is for an extremely reasonable price. I had the opportunity to experience the coupe for more than just an evening, logging some decent time over the weekend down to Ohio. The navigation system was genius, warning of upcoming traffic conditions and providing alternate route options. Road time was not tiring in the least. Night driving was almost indescribable; I felt one with the car in the silence with the stars above. Auto-dimming headlights worked seamless and accurately. LED turn signals easily lit up anything reflective for nearly two blocks ahead. The front seats automatically move forward and the headrest dips to allow easy access to the rear seats, albeit a bit slowly if you find yourself in a hurry. It's really impressive what this car offers for the price.
