Ford Confirms Mach E, F-150 Hybrid Debut For 2019

Ford is promising that both its Mustang-inspired all-electric SUV and F-150 hybrid will be about more than efficiency. Though Ford is making strides to meet emissions targets, both vehicles will be aimed at the core demos for conventional Mustang and F-150. 鈥淭his isn鈥檛 about compliance,鈥?said Ted Cannis, Ford global director of electrification. Ford confirms that the Mustang-inspired electric performance SUV and F-150 hybrid are both confirmed to debut next year. It鈥檚 not clear if Ford means that they will debut publicly or on the market 鈥?it鈥檚 rumored that the electric SUV, tentatively known as Mach E, will break cover at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month. In both cases, Ford is pushing capability and performance as much 鈥?if not more 鈥?than mileage. The Mustang-inspired electric SUV is expected to deliver a range of more than 300 miles (with 370 miles max range confirmed for Europe). But getting as much attention is its ability to deliver instant torque and, as Bill Ford puts it, 鈥済o like hell.鈥?Ford is also ramping up for a Mustang hybrid, which will likely also push performance metrics over efficiency. Not much is known about the F-150 hybrid yet, but Ford is promising capability typical of the brand. Ford promises that the F-150 hybrid鈥檚 electric generator will be a great benefit, and it points to the power demonstrated by an all-electric F-150 prototype to show that hauling won鈥檛 be a problem no matter what鈥檚 under the hood. The Mustang-inspired electric performance SUV is slated to arrive in the fall of next year. F-150 hybrid production is also scheduled to kick off in 20202 at the legendary Rouge complex.

Its looks like an F16 aircarft! However, My choice is the 1937 cord. For the simple reason it was ahead of its time. The engineers were light years ahead as far as design goes. Also look at the Studebaker Hawk another car ahead of its time. Do these judges have a mental issue or something? The Cord 810/812 should be in the ugliest cars in history category. Where's the Maserati Bora and the Ford GT40? Ferrari 250. Honestly, some of the stuff here is just nonsense. The Lambo is the only good good looking cr on the list. My first car was a 1959 Chevy Belair. My second car was a 1955 Ford with moon rims. I would love to have both of them in my driveway now. Fruitypastles - I would totally agree with you about the Gullwing, the original is a stunning car and if I had chosen the list then it would have been in there, I promise!

However, this list was created by Classic and Sports Car Magazine so all blame falls on them! 300 sl gullwing came out in 1954 and if you just look at the shape of the body and imagining it rolling down a street in 1954! It must have looked like it had dropped from outer space when people saw this car! 1954 would have probably been confronted by a crowd of people questioning him where he could have possibly got this car from! I might add the Alfa-Romeo 8C Competizione to the list. That car is truly exquisite. That Bentley is my favourite! I think this is killer information about most beautiful car lovers like me. And I am really thank ful for it to blog owner. Nice collection you got going on there. I prefer Yenko, Camaro's more but hey any classic car is awesome. Check out my site its mainly on Donald Yenko but its got some info about camaros. I especially liked the Jag having owned one but it was quite a gas guzzlers even before the gas wars. Wow, "a few" Veloce's! The Ferrari's do have terrible wiring/ Yeah I heard the muria wasn;t that great to drive, and suffered from bad brakes and worse over-heating! I have owned and loved a few alfa Romeo Veloce's despite some pretty nasty design faults the early Veloce are a lovely drivers car with sleek bodywork by Bertone. Nice list from the mag, but have real doubts that they drove the Ferrari or know much about it. I have driven and repaired several, and a more overrated pile of junk has never been made. The worst wiring and electrical system in the world! Even worse than the Veloce, which is saying something. The Miura is truly horrible to drive. They are, however very nice to look at. That they are Lee. Yeah I'd take the Miura too, syunning cars!

Ford Mustang, originally introduced by Ford in August 1968 as a package for the 1969 model year. As part of a Ford heritage program, the Mach 1 package returned in 2003 as a high performance version of the New Edge platform. Visual connections to the 1969 model were integrated into the design to pay homage to the original. This generation of the Mach 1 was discontinued after the 2004 model year, with the introduction of the fifth generation Mustang. Ford first used the name "Mach 1" in its 1969 display of a concept called the "Levacar Mach I" at the Ford Rotunda. This concept vehicle used a cushion of air as propulsion on a circular dais. The Ford Mustang was successfully introduced in April 1964 as a sporty "pony car" to attract younger buyers into Ford products. After a few years of development, Ford saw the need to create performance Mustangs to compete with GM and their release of the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird.

As the performance war continued, the Mustang's platform and engine bay were progressively redesigned to accommodate larger engine blocks. Late in the 1968 model year, Ford introduced the 428 cu in (7.0 L) Cobra Jet FE engine in a small group of Mustang GTs and into the 1968 Shelby GT500KR. This was a strong performer and indicated the direction of the 1969 Mustang. However, "GT" wasn't a name that would initiate images of street screeching performance; hence the introduction of the Mach 1 title. 1969 was the benchmark year for Ford Mustang in its proliferation of performance names and engines. Many resto-mod visual conversions have since been performed by owners and enthusiasts, but are not Mach 1's by VIN code. Standard equipment was a 351 cu in (5.8 L) Windsor (351W) 2V motor with a 3 speed manual transmission, and a 9-inch (23 cm) 28 spline open rear axle. Mach 1s came with upgraded suspension to varying degrees dependent upon powertrain choices.
