I would take the Ford.
Traveling to help my family with their projects always had me worried about security when I would stop at a restaurant to eat. I used to move all my tools to the cab. What a pain.
Also, traveling to help my family taught me how to find shelter quickly when down pours threatened. Sometimes, I would end up sitting in the cab, with all my tools around me.
The beauty of an open bed is access to front end loaders, fork lifts, etc. But, my volunteering has taught me that those items can be worked around much easier than the two items I just mentioned.
As others have said, if either one were offered to me, I would not object. 🙂
