INTRODUCTION
A small number of MY 2009 and 2010 Altima Hybrid Vehicles may have been manufactured with the incorrect fluid level in the transmission. To
correct this possible condition, Nissan will inspect the transmission fluid level and, if necessary, adjust the level free of charge for parts or labor.
IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
Nissan has assigned identification number PC024 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any
nature dealing with this campaign.
DEALER RESPONSIBILITY
Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private
parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourist) owners, and vehicles in a dealer's inventory.
SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Locate the transaxle filler plug (see Figure 1).
3. Remove the filler plug and discard the filler plug gasket.
4. Check the transaxle fluid level.
^ Refer to Figure 2, oil level "A".
Minumum oil level is 5 mm below the filler
plug opening.
^ Add fluid if necessary.
CAUTION:
^ ONLY use Nissan Matic W ATF
^ P/N 999MP-MTW00P
5. Put a new gasket on the filler plug.
6. Install the filler plug. Torque to 39.2 N.m (4.0 kg-m, 29 ft-lb).
